Kenya continues to face peace and security challenges that hinder economic development and which disproportionately affect  areas that are already poor and marginalized. The key challenges are: Violent extremism (terrorism and radicalization); conflicts over natural resources (extractives and land); and political conflicts (elections, ethnicity and devolution). This report addresses these challenges and provides data and analysis on the peace and security status in the targeted counties of Garissa, Isiolo, Kilifi, Kisumu, Kwale, Mombasa and West Pokot.
