Following police violent dispersal of protest held by the Kenya Paralympics Team along Thika Superhighway on 2 May 2019, several issues arose concerning the capacity of police officers to manage public assemblies in consideration and appreciation of the needs of persons with disabilities (PWDs). This opinion piece puts these issues into perspective and provides practical solutions that ought to be considered to raise the capacity of the police.
