CHRIPS in partnership with IDS held a two-day capacity strengthening workshop for practitioners and researchers working on the field of CVE. This workshop provided an opportunity for stock-taking with regard to the policy and research work on CVE in Kenya. The broad goal of the training was to sharpen the knowledge and practical skills of participants in order to:
1)Strengthen bonds and network-building among researchers, practitioners and policymakers
2) Identify, document, and share innovative best practices, successes, and challenges in CVE work
The meeting also convened researchers and academics to review and analyse the changing nature of the terror threats in the country, and to provide insights to inform the development of more effective CVE policies and practices.
